OK.. so I made a dash to OKC and back and happily got all the documents apostilled, copied, sorted and in the mail to the agency today!!!!
YIPPEE!!
It was such a great feeling knowing it's being sent... however, it's almost unreal... and tonight as happy as we are... we have realized that the "real" wait is officially starting again... LOL!!! urg!!!! Haven't we already been there done that??? well, I guess so, but with this journey, sometimes you have to re travel some roads... or so it seems...
In the beginning of this journey Phil and I felt reassurance in knowing that God had already paved the road for this adoption... and that he has just been waiting on us to decide to jump in with him for the ride!!!
Even despite all the ups and downs... the unanswered questions regarding lots of things... the finances, and everything involved in this process... we know beyond a doubt that God has called us and brought us to this journey. However, even in the midst of knowing it's God's will.. there are still scary moments... but, in those moments we have all the promises of our Savior and KNOW that he will provide in all areas and he has already written the conclusion!!!! At these moments our FAITH kicks in... that's what FAITH is.. "the substance of things hoped for the the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11:1)!!! So, as tonight officially marks the 2nd beginning of the "real" wait for us... we are encouraged and know that God had this plan for our lives before we were even born... and he will see it through!!!! He desires to see the very thing that he births in us come to pass!!!
Join us as we follow God's prompting to grow our family through international adoption, and embark on a journey to Kazakhstan to adopt our children.

I hear you Lanetta! We've received some... uh... resistance and lack of joy shall we say, over our latest decision. You know- that whole race thing. But I know, without a doubt, that's where God is leading us. Despite the lack of joy by others, I just feel so much peace. Phooey on everyone else's lack of joy. My joy is in the Lord and knowing that He's in front of me hacking and whacking the way through the figurative jungle just for me, and knowing that He is the one making the path and not me trying to fight my way through some place I don't belong, but think I do.
lol! Does that even make sense? One too many analogies perhaps.
Once your dossier makes it to the Consulate, like you said, the REAL wait begins. That is just wonderful! Not so much the wait, but that it's REAL! I can't wait for you!
Yeah! Welcome to the wait. It is funny because we scrambled around to get our dossier done, turned it in and bam we were at a complete stand still! Have faith, know you have friends that are waiting with you! Hang in there- and I'm right beside you waiting for our turn!!
Hugs
Oh and I'm ordering another cookbook- my Mom was looking at my sister's and was pointing out all the recipes she wanted to copy- and I said..save your time I'll buy you one! So don't think I'm nuts when you see my name again..LOL!
I'm learning to celebrate every milestone along the way because, quite honestly, we have no idea when the next one will come along as we wait. I'm like a kid in that way, I need little rewards when something good happens. :0
The Lord knows the plans he has laid for you and that is what keeps me focused. I like the first commenters comparison to the jungle and how He goes before us clearing our path. I'm going to hang onto that visual.

Great news. I hope your wait is a short one.
Lanetta,
Very well said, you pinpointed our feelings to a T! I knew there was a reason our friendship is close:):) I know that your wait is going to fly by -I can feel it. Your babies are coming, soon. I love ya!

Hi Lanetta,
Thank you so much for letting us be a part of each step of your journey. It helps us all with our own journeys!
We are praying for your dossier submission and everything that will follow in this adoption.
God Bless You and Your Family!

All the sorting ,copying, and compiling took me forever! Glad you are DONE!! Try to enjoy the wait(haha)!
The wait is well worth it!!!!
When you meet your boy, you will forget how long or hard the process was. Kinda like labor!!!!!!
I hope your wait flys by:)
I am so glad you found me on my blog!! I will be following your adoption too!!
While our process for adopting in Liberia is not nearly as complicated as far as putting together the dossier is concerned, the uncertainty and the unpredictablity of Liberia make a complicated dossier seem pretty desirable!!! OF all our international adoptions, this Liberia doessie was definitely the easiest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting for $$ so we can book travel dates for our first trip, praying for favor from several grant foundations and praying that nothing else in the house or with the vehicles requires repairing any time soon!!
