Gobble Family Adoption: December 2011

Our adoption timeline....

Sept. 21, 2007 – God spoke to my heart while attending a Joyce Meyer's Convention in St. Lois MO to make a difference in the world by adopting an orphan. (Check out our website (How it all began link) for the complete story!!!)

Sept. 22, 2007 - God spoke to me, "The Time is NOW!" through Martin Smith of Delirous.

Sept. 23, 2007 - On way home from St. Louis found Delrious CD in Wal-mart with the title, NOW IS THE TIME!! Arrived home around 11:30 PM and shared new passion with Phillip. Prayed together holding hands, and prayed for our new child together for the very first time.

Sept. 26, 2007 - Shared new passion / plans with Bailey (our oldest daughter), prayed together.

Sept. - Oct. 07 - Began doing research online regarding International adoption and lots of praying. God led us to American World Adoption Agency and the country of Kazakhstan through a series of events. Applied to AWAA in mid Oct 07.

Nov. 3, 2007- Opened Gobble Family Adoption Fund @ bank with the first $100 given (God multiplied that first seed 10 times within days!) Thank you Lord!

Nov. 2007 - First large donation given online w/ the paypal account!

Nov. 5, 2007- Received notification that application was accepted to AWAA. We really are adopting a baby!!!!

Nov. 7-8, 2007 - Yard Sale for adoption fund at church. Raised several thousand dollars!!! Thank you Lord!! Amazing outreaches happened the whole weekend... God is so good!!

Nov. 19, 2007 - Began Home Study – 1st home study visit. Meeting went well.... lots to do!! Decided after much prayer and discussion that God was leading us to be open to adopting 2 children...

Dec. 3, 2007 - 2nd Home Study Visit

Dec. 5, 2007 - 3rd Home Study Visit

Dec. 6, 2007 - Mailed in I-600 A form to USCIS

Dec. 8, 2007 - Final Home Study Visit - Home study completed!!

Nov - Dec. 2007 - Live Christmas Poinsettia fundraiser – Sold over 400 poinsettias..

Feb. 4th, 2008 - Fingerprint appointment @ USCIS

Feb. 25th, 2008 – received I-171H form from USCIS

Feb. 26th, 2008 – Went to capitol and had forms apostilled.

Feb. 27th, 2008 – went back to capitol with new homestudy to be apostilled.

March 1st, 2008 – Bean Dinner Fundraiser – Payne County Fair Grounds.

March 3rd 2008- Sent in Dossier to American World – officially entered the “waiting phase”

March 5th 2008 – American World Received Dossier

March 6th, 2008 – American World sent Dossier to translation

May 2-3rd, 2008 - 2nd Yard Sale & Spring Flower Sales (God blessed us with several thousand dollars!)

May 14, 2008 – Received word from AWAA that Dossier is already at the consulate. (Thank you Jesus! One step closer to our boys!)

May 30, 2008 - Received word that our dossier was rejected at the Consulate for no real reason.... They are rejecting all dossiers due to being so back-logged!! Is this for real??

June 2, 2008 - Received word to redo all expiring documents in dossier and be ready to resubmit dossier asap for submission to consulate @ the end of June.

June 2008 - Frantically redid all documents (basically everything was about to expire)... updated our homestudy, all documents, etc... notarized everything, apostilled everything... new and improved dossier ready to go...

June 24, 2008 - New and improved dossier overnighted to AWAA...

June 30, 2008 - Received word from AWAA that the consulate is still not receiving dossiers... and it could be the end of August before ours is resubmitted... all that time, energy, money on redoing it for NOTHING!

July 18, 2008 - Received word that they still have no idea when our dossier will be resubmitted... God's timing.. God's timing.. God's timing....

Setember 2008- Still waiting.....

December 2008 - Received word that we are first in line with AWAA when the consulate begins accepting dossiers again... good news!? it felt like it.... but, still waiting...

December 22, 2008 - Received the call to update our entire dossier and get it to the agency asap.... They are ready to send our dossier to the consulate... Frantically began redoing all documents!!!! :-)

Janurary 12, 2009 - Received our updated FBI clearances!!!

January 14, 2009 - Received word from AWAA that our Homestudy update looks great and they are ready for our dossier asap!!!

January 15, 2009 - Got all documents apostilled, copied, sorted, and in the mail!!! Dossier number 3 is on it's way to the Agency... They will receive it on Saturday! Officially enter the "real" wait again.. for the 2nd time!!! :-)

January 19, 2009 - Received word that our family coordinator at AWAA received our dossier today!!! Be blessed paperwork... be blessed!!!!

January 27, 2009 - Received word that some of our documents need to be completed differently...

Januray 30, 2009 - Completed all documents that had to be redone... apostilled them (Thanks Robin and Cathy!) and sent them to AWAA.

Feburary 1, 2009 - AWAA received new documents.

Feburary 2, 2009 - AWAA overnighted dossier to translation.

Feburary 12 or 13, 2009 - Dossier submitted to the DC Consulate!

May 1, 2, and 9, 2009 - Garage Sale Awesome outreaches and donations received!!

June 2009 - Consulate contacted agency... Requested updates and redos.

June 5, 2009 - New dossier with updates hand delivered to DC consulate.

July 8, 2009 - Dossier approved at consulate. Thank you LORD!!! (Is this for real?) :-)

July 9, 2009 - Dossier sent to Kazakhstan! (Minstry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) office)

July 8 - 10, 2009 - Yard Sale - Huge success! Thank you Lord!!

Sept. 2, 2009 - Agency notified us that dossier has already passed through MOFA, and has been submitted to the MOE (Ministry of Education) Office. :-)

Sept. 26, 2009 - Old Settler's Day Concession Stand / Bake Sale!!

Sept. 29, 2009 - Agency notified us that dossier was submitted to region of Pavlodar, Kazkhstan. :) Now... waiting on an LOI!!

Oct. 9-10, 2009 - Yard Sale - Another Amazing sale...

Nov. 6-7, 2009 - Last Yard Sale of the Year!! :) - Another Amazing sale, tons of donations of items.. and thousands of dollars donated!! We also sold Pansies!

Nov. 2009- Premier Designs Jewelry Fundraiser

Nov. 2009 - Give-a-way 1/2 a Processed Hog Fundraiser.

Nov.- Dec. 2009- Poinsettia Fundriaser

Dec. 2009 - Rada Cutlery Fundraiser

Jan. 8, 2010 - LOI received!!! (we are really going!) LOI is dated May 15th- Aug. 14th!!!

Aug 14th, 2010 - LOI expired

Sept. 16th, 2010 - New LOI received... begins on Sept. 30th.

Oct. 21, 2010 - Leave for Pavlodar, Kazakhstan

Nov. 4th, 2010 - Met our daughters!!! Yes, twin girls! :)

Nov. 5th, 2010 - We said YES... Day one of bonding!

Nov. 20th, 2010 - 14 days of bonding COMPLETED! Now the wait begins for a court date!

Nov. 21st - Dec. 10th, 2010 - Waiting on a Court date!

Dec. 10th, 2010 - Received word of first court date on Dec. 14th!! WAHOO!

Dec. 11th, 2010 - Received word that the 14th is not an official court date but the first of several - a "pre-interview". WHAT?

Dec. 14th, 2010 - Court Session #1 (pre-interview)

Dec. 18th, 2010 - Headed home. Took 72+ hours to make it home = HUGE snow storm and delays!

Jan 2nd, 2011 - Headed back to Kazakhstan. (Trip number 2!)

Jan. 6th, 2011- Court Session #2

Jan. 11th, 2011- Court Session #3

Jan. 13th, 2011- Court Session #4

Jan. 20th, 2011- Court Session #5 and #6. A morning and afternoon session.

Jan. 21st, 2011 - Court Session #7!!!! SHE SAID YES!!!!!!

Jan. 22nd, 2011 - Returned home

Feb. 8th, 2011 - Waiting period is OVER! Lawyer has official adoption decree! They are REALLY ours!! Thank you LORD!!!

March 6, 2011- Leave for Trip # 3! Pick up girls FOREVER!

March 8,2011 - Visit girls @ babyhouse!

March 9, 2011 - My Birthday - Nauryz Celebration at babyhouse and GOTCHA day!

March 9th, 2011 - Leave for Almaty

March 14th - Consulate appointment in Almaty

March 14th - WE ARE COMING HOME!

March 15th, 2011 - Home forever!
