It will be stressful, but you will get through it, you are wonderful parents. This time in Almaty and on the plane is a blip in their life and yours. It might be rough, prepare for the worst and hope for the best...this is what I did. Breathe. Pray. Breathe again, you will make it home to unite your family soon and the healing for your twins will begin. Praying for you!4texanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14813344872739830839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313031958975493317.post-67561077082063700782011-03-13T22:02:37.079-05:002011-03-13T22:02:37.079-05:00You sound so happy and it is so great that you hav...You sound so happy and it is so great that you have these friends in Almaty! Travel home is rough- but hang in there. You can do anything for a day right?! Ask for bulk head seating..the extra room is nice. I sat on the floor for a while..not even kidding. Hopefully they will be interested in some of the kids stuff that is on video on the planes..Maverick watched some. I'm praying for you, and I'm so excited these girls are finally coming home. I just wish I could be in OK when you land!!!! Although I have to say that I loved Almaty and our time there even in our cramped apartment! I think it was the fact that everything had thawed and it was so nice to see the sun again! We enjoyed our walks there and all the celebrations that were happening in the city at the end of March.
Lindsay was much younger than the twins but it did break our hearts that she would hit her head on the crib and walk around carrying bread in her hand. She had already learned those behaviors at such a young age! Praying for the girls. They will adjust with all your love and attention and will seem like totally different children in a few months! Safe travels!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04244240935842844736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313031958975493317.post-60569472859161725352011-03-13T12:16:28.275-05:002011-03-13T12:16:28.275-05:00Such an amazing post again, Lanetta! Out of the baby house but not quite home. I'm sure that the offending behaviors will subside once you get home and can get into a normal routine. Our Irina brought plenty of nasty behaviors and food issues with her from orphanage life too. Fortunately she has been a fast learner and I'm sure your girls will be too. You have so much love for them that it won't be long to see them transformed by that love.

All the best!Kelly and Snehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12694012810022647105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313031958975493317.post-76106836078013525472011-03-13T11:55:56.317-05:002011-03-13T11:55:56.317-05:00Another wonderful update!!!! I also must commend you on the adorable clothes you picked out for your cuties...they look sensational. And you bet i will be praying up a storm for a mellow trip home.

Btw, in the category of "for what it is worth"', a Kaz mom friend who adopted a toddler had a major issue with food. Her son was obsessed and it sounded lots like the twins. I thought she was brilliant in how she solved it. When she got home there was always a bowl of fruit and celery and carrots on a tanle he could reach. At first he went for it all the time. Then when he truly realized that he didn't have to scramble for food anymore, he not only stopped stuffing himself, but he settled dowm at mealtime and ate normally. Today he is normal in his eating.

Btw have you registered anywhere on what you need/want for the twins? Or can you post or message me their sizes?

Safe safe happy calm travel is my prayer for you!!!!Trudihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02531403805139231278noreply@blogger.com
